droneroom - Barstow Deluxe

In May 2022, droneroom would release "Last Seen in Barstow" as part of bandcamp fridays. This collective of five songs wasn't really an album or an EP, just it's own odd collection of unreleased tunes. While much of the bandcamp Friday releases saw re-release in the double-disc compilation "My Marionette Days Are Over" this particular release still remained in the shadows.
Until the Leap Year...
The newly named "Barstow Deluxe" adds two more previously unreleased songs to evolve this collective into a full-length album. Outtakes bonding together to build on a foundation of fever dreams, city observations, unseen demons and anxiety-laden bursts. Seven outsiders congregating together in amorphous and mysterious drone sounds...
With new artwork and design by doodlehound along with intricate liner notes, "Barstow Deluxe" develops an identity of it's own. The recordings are presented as is to add to this "outsiders among outsiders" theme and the general devil-may-care nature of Doodlehound. Whether you're a recurring listener or newly discovering the ol' Cowboy of Drone, take in this collective of longform drone and twang tunes.
I want to thank Blake Conley for trusting me with his music in this release and this unique opportunity to present some rarer droneroom songs in a new limelight.
